ABOUT CASHMERE

WHY CASHMERE?

Cashmere is a strong and extraordinary fiber that is warm in the winter, and breathable in the summer, making it a versatile and luxurious material.

We digitally printed on cashmere because of its ability to render a fluid piece of art, that when wrapped an array of colors and lines are experienced, while when open the artwork is revealed. The fabric galvanizes the image creating a most luxurious experience for the wearer, both in the softness of the material and the beauty of the imagery.

Cashmere is a natural fiber that is ethically sourced. We only use cashmere from Nepal and Inner Mongolia where the most exquisite cashmere is found, and our yarns are certified OKEO TEX and GOTS .

Our scarves are handcrafted using the finest fabrics, while ensuring the highest standards of quality and ethical manufacturing. We work with small family run mills in Nepal carrying the Chyangra Pashmina (CP) collective trademark. This guarantees that our cashmere products are made from the luxurious inner wool of the native mountain goats. Fibers are gathered using a combing method during the Spring months after natural shedding begins so the animals are not harmed during the process, and new layers of wool grow again in the winter that follows.  Our partners are members of the CP collective and the Sustainable Fiber Alliance (SFA).
